Chance Me for Reed, Colorado College, Others (Mainly Small Schools)

As a bit of a foreward, I have quite a few rather difficult schools that I’m interested in. I met with a college counselor and was told that a school like Reed would be a reach for me, but I’d like to get a few other perspectives.
Schools I’m interested in (non-safeties): Colorado College, Reed, Wellesley, Amherst, Whitman, University of Washington, University of British Columbia

I know that my ECs aren’t stellar, so I will probably submit an art supplement as well. I know that one of my LORs will be strong, but I’m not sure about the other. I a

Your GPA and Class Rank are solid and the internship should help your otherwise unfortunately sparse EC’s. That’s so unfortunate your school does not offer leadership roles. I’m sorry for your sake. Also, you have a track record in your art work which will be attractiveness to a college like Reed. Honestly, I would definitely at least apply and work very hard on your essays. You seem to be a solid writer and I’ve heard from current students that it all comes down to the essay. Give it a shot! I definitely think you have a chance.

Colorado College is oddly selective, but your stats and interests are good. The essays could make or break you on that one. Also, they have a very outdoorsy culture so you might want to think about how to address that in your writing. If you happen to be from Colorado, it will be more difficult. They have never accepted more than one student/year from my D’s Colorado high school, and often accept 0, in spite of receiving 8-10 apps/year.
