<p>Wow, I knew I was in the preliminary stages of school research but not that bad. Haha how about for finance?</p>

<p>Ironically, you can’t go wrong with the finance concentration (called a track) here. I myself am perplexed that such a respected finance program can exist without a solid grounding in accounting.</p>

<p>Anyways, Tepper is a target for you. A solid application as a whole will put you through.</p>

<p>The bad:</p>

<p>It’s very easy to “sit back” and follow the course plan, which is pretty lame until you track into a concentration. No offense when I say it, but the average Tepper student isn’t that great; the average Wharton/Sloan/Stern kid will blow the median Tepper kid out of the water. 15% acceptance rate is real, but the pool of admissions isn’t filled to the brim with top tier talent (just look at the SAT breakdowns of admitted students). Also, the first two years seem to be just full of filler classes/prereqs.</p>

<p>The good (and I mean really good) :</p>

<p>Opportunities are everywhere to shine. Anyone with the drive to be legit will be provided with multiple ways to prove it. Whether it be computational finance, a minor in CS, leadership positions in clubs, case competitions, etc…
Recruiting is excellent for the more motivated students.
Work hard here and you WILL be rewarded handsomely.</p>

<p>I kind of have a condescending attitude about TSB ironically, which others may take offense to haha. Brutal honesty.</p>

<p>But even just talking to upperclassmen, I’ve noticed that the ones who have the extra drive/mental edge are the ones bringing in stellar offers for jobs.</p>
