Chance me for the elite universities (Stanford, Princeton, etc)

I do know it’s obviously really late but I’m anxious for incoming decisions and wonder what someone from the outside thinks my chances are.

I’m an international student who’s taken 3 A-levels (British curriculum) and have a target of 3 A*s which are maths, physics, and further maths which is a separate A-level at my school (don’t know what that makes my GPA). I have a 1400 on the SAT w a 760 in maths and 640 on the English section. I only could take it once and didn’t have the opportunity to study due to my mom’s illness (which sort of forced me to be in hospital a lot, I did mention this in all my applications). I have a 800 on the SAT math lvl 2 and 760 on the physics SAT II.

ECs:-

President of MUN club (model United Nations), School’s football (well, soccer for you Americans) team captain, National drummer award winner, Head boy at my school, President of the charities committee, completed the gold DofE (duke of Edinburgh) award, got international recognizition in the UKMT mathematics challenge and started a non profit organization to help aid children with their education across the world. I also have been working on a research project with a professor at a local university for a year and a half about engines accomplishing 20% light speed travel on nanobots.

I get that my SAT is pretty low for most of these colleges, but would the fact I literally was time bound to not being able to repeat it or study much the only time I did do it? Most of my friends told me that colleges don’t really care about insinuating circumstances like mine which sort of scares me as I feel I could’ve at least got 100 more points on the SAT if I could study a lot more. Let me know what all of you think! Already took an L by being waitlisted at MIT but waiting for my other decisions w a lot of nervousness!

@deetrix What your friends told you about perception of EXTEnuating circumstances was largely on the mark. Your SAT’s would have made the most elite schools a high reach were you applying as a domestic applicant. As an international from Qatar the odds are significantly worse. Of the elites, Harvard publishes the most detailed information on international student enrollment. Current undergraduate enrollment there of students from Qatar is 0. That means not a single student from Qatar has enrolled in the last four years. http://www.hio.harvard.edu/statistics

We got one kid get into Harvard 2 years ago but they weren’t from Qatar and neither am I. We just went to high school in Qatar but were from different countries (I’m from India and he was from China). But either way, you’re right about our chances as internationals being low as hell anyways. It’s just annoying how colleges don’t give a crap about people who just literally don’t have the time or resources to be able to do things like take the SAT 48384838484 times. Who knows, a miracle could possibly fall on me but seems like Ivy day’s gonna carry some large Ls for me
