Chance Me for these colleges...

When I looked at all your credentials my jaw dropped. How does one have the time and the ability to fit all this in their schedule?!? You took well “rounded” to another level. Congrats and be proud of all your achievements. Your destined to do big things!

As for UNC-Chapel Hill the only thing that would be hurting you is your out of state residency. But all your achievements and hard work and pros should counter this con. As long as your wrote good, personal essays for your application you should be fine.

Might I ask what Race/Ethnicity you associate with? (UNC is very big on diversity). Also did you apply regular decision?

I’d currently chance you at 80-85% to get accepted into UNC-CH just by looking at your credentials.

Again, I am amazed by everything you have done. Even if things don’t work out for UNC Chapel Hill you have so many other exceptional schools you applied to and will probably get into. Good Luck!!!

@ballergnc Thank you for your kind words! I’m not applying right now, just doing research to see if there are colleges I shouldn’t even waste time applying for. I’m Asian, which I’ve heard puts me at a disadvantage

@tspmf12 definitely apply to UNC-Chapel Hill tho you should be fine to get in it’s a great school all around but there are always better ones for business and law. As for me I’m interested in medical careers so UNC-Chapel Hill is a great fit for me. If I were you I’d research and apply to schools where you can recover the best education, have many opportunities (honors, research, internships, etc.), and where you can save the most money.

As for your ethnicity yes your Asian but that doesn’t matter at all, you will be fine. Ethnicity is just a characteristic and does not reflected how smart or hard working you are.

Btw I looked at your post again and realized I miss read it. I thought you said you lived in New York but that was the first school you wanted to be chanced do so I might be wrong about the state residency for UNC-Chapel Hill. Idk if your Instate or OOS. But again good luck! I wish I had as much potential as you lol.

I’d say take the SAT Subject tests for the other 3 languages you’re fluent in, and that would be an incredible hook; Colleges are looking for people who can thrive in the world, so having a linguistic advantage is really unique. Aside from that, everything looks really great; just make sure you write some killer essays and get good rec letters, and you’re set!

New York University-
University of Michigan at Ann Arbor-Match. You should get in, but they are very unpredictable from OOS.
Penn State-Safety (I think)
Indiana University-Safety
University of California at Los Angeles-Reach but you have a shot
University of Southern California-High Match/Low Reach
University of California at Berkeley-Reach
Boston College-High Match
University of Virginia-Low Reach
University of North Carolina-Same as Michigan
Cornell-Low Reach
Yale-Reach
Columbia-Reach
University of Pennsylvania-Reach. The Ivies are not a lock for anyone.

New York University: Match
University of Michigan at Ann Arbor: Match
Penn State: High Match
Indiana University: High Match
University of California at Los Angeles: Match
University of Southern California: Match
University of California at Berkeley: Match
Boston College: Match
University of Virginia: Match
University of North Carolina: Out of state so maybe
Cornell
Yale
Columbia
University of Pennsylvania

For the last 4, I think you have a good chance at all of them. It’s just tough because so many qualified applicants apply, that it’s so difficult to get in. I would not bet against you at any of those schools however!!! Good luck!

I think you have a really good chance at NYU, Ann Arbor, Indiana, all the California colleges listed, Boston College, U Virginia, and UNC. I think you could get at least one Ivy, depending on the other applicants at pool. From what I’ve been told, since they get so many strong applicants, they tend to pick more based on what extra curriculars they want to see more of in the community. Best of luck!

I think your stats make you competitive for admission to most of those schools. NYU, Ann Arbor, and the Cali schools seem like matches IMO. Cornell may be a High Match. Yale Columbia and University of Pennsylvania are reaches for everyone but I wouldn’t say impossible. Best of Luck!

I think you have a pretty good shot at most of them, as you have plenty of AP’s and good test scores. You seem to have a path for your extra-curriculars, although you should list any more awards. As for anyone, the Ivy Leagues are a reach, so if you have really good recs and essays then it’s all up to fate.

I think you have very high chances for many of these. Your stats, corse rigor, and EC look great, but the last few would definitely be reaches because they have people applying who have perfect GPA’s and perfect scores all the time. But who knows? Good luck!

You have an amazing chance at most of these schools. Obviously, the ivies are a reach for anyone. Make sure in your essays to make yourself stand out by talking about and focusing on your passion so it doesn’t look like you dipped your toe in the water for many different things. Sorry for my late reply, I haven’t logged on recently!

Ivies - You definitely will get into one of them from what I think. Your scores are on par and you have a rigorous academic transcript with an excellent GPA

I think you are in at the others personally.

Good Luck!

Jesus christ! This is an ideal resume for practically any applicant; while admissions into any Ivy is up to chance, I would definitely ascertain that you’re resume is at least going to competitive in the pool.

Your standardized scores are on the weaker side, but still competitive.
In addition, I don’t know how many awards/honors you’ve received in your clubs, and that would definitely have a heavy impact on admissions: Anybody can participate, but only few can win and receive awards.
There are also factors such as your income level, your race, gender, etc. that may or may not have an impact on admissions overall. However, it definitely seems as though your EC participation shows a passion and interest for the majors you’re applying for, an aspect that will definitely help.
