Chance me for these schools

Don’t listen to anyone telling you you won’t get in, even at HYPMS type schools. Admissions are wild at top schools and anything can happen. You want to go there? Apply! It won’t hurt and you have a great chance for at least one of those top schools. Now stop asking for more things cause you are fine. No one can truly tell you if you will get in. Just apply and see if you get lucky. Stanford rejects perfect 36 ACt and will take a 30 ACT if they feel he or she is a better addition. Good luck!

Okay thanks! I am intent on EA’ing to Stanford and even if I get rejected, I have a lot of back up options to turn to because some of the smaller colleges like Allegheny want to recruit me for tennis, but I am passionate about following my goals.

I would absolutely add a few safeties as none of the schools on your list are sure things. I suspect your odds are less than 50/50 at each of these schools save perhaps for USC where you are probably a match (60 - 90%).

How about UCLA and Berkeley since I am a California resident? I have a couple of safeties that waived the application fee like Allegheny, Hofstra, Drexel, Fordham, and some other schools. Should I apply to UCSD?

Stanford - Reach

MIT - Reach

Cal Tech - Reach

Carnegie Mellon - High Match/Low Reach (Their School of Computer Science [SCS] is pretty competitive)

Columbia - Reach

Dartmouth - Reach

Cornell - Low Reach

Berkeley - High Match/Low Reach

UCLA - High Match

USC - Match

Rice - High Match

PS Don’t listen to fchris13, he’s a ■■■■■.

Thanks latitude!

Solid applicant. SAT score a little low for the ACT equivalent…see if you only have to send in one. EC’s should be more community involved but overall they are abundant and that is the impression I get when I read this application. GPA/AP’s all good as well. I would say you are a solid applicant, and with just higher test scores and more community involvement you could be as competitive as anyone.

Okay thank you :)
