I know I’ve previously posted a chance me request, but I’ve finally gotten my application ducks all in a row and want to know which of these two schools would be more advantageous to apply early decision.
Background: white female hs senior who attends a competitive, top 5 public hs from CT.
Grades: 3.7/4.0, 4.3/5.0
Test Scores: 1430 on SAT (720 reading + writing and 710 math); APUSH: 5, AP Gov: 5 SAT II US History: 790
Current classes: Humanities, Critical Issues in Foreign and Domestic Politics, Calculus, AP Bio, AP Spanish Lang, and AP Chinese (all are full year honors/AP classes)
Class Rank: my school doesn’t rank but based on some histograms I’m within the top 10%.
ECs: Varsity athlete all 4 years on swimming and diving, I swim with my local club team year round, member of a club that works with 4th grade girls on math and science activities to try and bridge the gap in STEM, president of Spanish club, member of the national Spanish honor society, member of the debate team and president of the national Chinese honor society.
AP/Honors: 13 total honors/AP classes in 10th, 11th, and 12th (my school doesn’t offer honors classes or aps for freshman)
Work experience: camp counselor at my local jcc day camp
Community service: 80+hours
Essays: very good
Recommendations: good
