@intparent I wouldn’t say that they are poor, just average. Nothing spectacular about them. Just the usual things you’d read in a letter of rec. I know this because I’ve seen them. Not out of choice, the first teacher gave it to me to look over even after I said I didn’t need to look at it and the second teacher made me write it myself (so I asked my dad to write it).
I just wanted to update this thread with the fact that I’ve been accepted EA to Caltech and UChicago! And I’m taking Stanford, Rice, Pomona, and Swarthmore off my list.
Congrats on two great schools. I would be shocked if you don’t get accepted everywhere. The only problem you will have is trying to pick the best option.
Hi guys, I have an update. So I didn’t take Stanford, Rice, Pomona, and Swarthmore off my list like I said I was going to. As for acceptances, I’ve gotten into Caltech and UChicago EA as I said earlier, and RD I’ve gotten into UCR, UCSD, UCLA, Rice, Swarthmore, Pomona, Harvey Mudd, and MIT so far! My top choices right now are Caltech, MIT, and UChicago, and I’m just waiting on UC Berkeley and Stanford. Thanks for the help!
