Chance me for UChicago?

I want to say high match, you’re amazinggg

University of Chicago is pretty hard to get into. I would give you a low match. I think you will probably get in though! Good luck!

@FourBlindMice do you mean high match? Low match is very likely. :stuck_out_tongue: Thank you, though!

@Careful Lol. Sorry about that. I meant a low reach. Not sure what I was thinking. I say low reach only because of how difficult it is to get into. However, you seem like the stats they would accept.

I think you have a great shot. UChicago is weird about their acceptances sometimes. Good luck!

@FourBlindMice No worries, I completely understand! Thanks for the chance!

Personally, I do think you have a great chance. Like others have already pointed out, you are academically sound and you have good EC’s. But for UChicago in specific, they look for something quirky in their applicants. You can probably tell from the essay prompts that chicago is an “eccentric” school. A college sophomore at UT Austin now ( a close friend of mine) got into UChicago (it was her dream school). She was a national merit semifinalist and had great SAT’s (2300ish)but her ranking wasn’t as great as you would expect it to be… only top 10%ish out of a class size of 1300 students ish. she had great ec’s and all that BUT… to make herself memorable… she sent in random poems that she made, jokes that she thought were good, puns, newspaper articles and multiple other “quirky” things… all said and done she got into the school. She didn’t end up going because the school was too expensive in the end… So maybe you want to take a more unique approach in your relation with the school to begin with?

Update: I didn’t get in

Sorry about that …

@careful

Sorry to hear that. Did you get deferred or rejected? If you are deferred, you still have a 10% chance to get in. Contextualize yourself a bit more by submitting supplemental materials and see if it helps.

Best of luck.
