<p>Recommendation #1 should be GREAT
Recommendation #2 should be good but somewhat generic
Counselor recommendation should be GREAT</p>

<p>Common app essay: 7/10
UChicago extended essay: 9/10 (took a very creative approach, not just an essay)</p>

<p>I know that my GPA is pretty low, but my SAT is the 75th percentile for them. In addition, my essays and recs should be pretty good. And although I have just a few extracurriculars, I am extremely involved in them (they take up nearly all of my free time).</p>

<p>Obviously UChicago is a reach for me. I just need help determining how high of a reach it is.</p>

<p>The essays are going to be very important. Your GPA is low but not too much so, and your SAT will do you some good. Your extracurriculars are alright. All of this means that you need great essays. If you think that your essay is that good, your chances are all the better.</p>

<p>With great essays and recommendations it becomes a low reach, thereby increasing your chances. </p>

<p>Your GPA is a little low, but your ECs/SAT are pretty good. I think it’s gonna come down to your essays, so make sure they are amazing</p>

<p>^I agree with everyone above. It’s a reach for even the best of students, but you’re definitely one of the ones with a better shot at admission :)</p>

<p>I would saying a middle-ground reach.</p>

<p>That SAT 2 Physics score seems a little weak since its 75 percentile for the nation.</p>
