Chance me for Uchicago?

I applied ED to U of C… I suppose my rejection letter will inevitability come in the mail next week. Though in the meantime, I wanted to hear an objective view of my shot at actually being accepted.

GPA: 3.85 (unweighted) 4.02 (weighted)
SAT: N/A
ACT: N/A (I was unable to take my standardized tests due to some unforeseen circumstances and ended up applying the test-optional route.)
Ranking: N/A I go to a tiny private school

Courses: IB HL Physics, IB HL English, IB HL History, IB HL Film, IB SL Mathematics, IB SL Spanish

Extracurriculars: For the past two years I’ve been researching and conducting an extensive experiment pertaining to the antimicrobial properties of algae. (I know this is odd to include but it eats up so much of my time, I included it in my college apps!) Volunteer at a local hospital, Founder of my school’s STEM Day (I invited local speakers and guests to come to give presentations to our students) VP of National Honor Society, VP of Honor Council, Member of Model United Nations, Member of PALS Program, Founder of the annual Blood Drive. Teacher’s assistant for Biology and Chemistry.

Work Experience: Cloudera Marketing internship (Summer 2017) Cloudera Engineering internship (2017-2018) Research internship at a Maternal-Fetal Medicine office (2018-2019) Lab intern at a Gene Networks facility (Summer 2019). Youth Film Festival intern (2018-2019)

I know my resume isn’t very traditional though I absolutely love science and throw most of my time into relevant independent projects or interning. I hope to major in biological science at U of C

You have excellent ECs. Why are your unweighted & weighted GPAs so close? There ought to be a wider spread with all your IB classes, no?

^ Schools weight differently, unless there is a standard weighting system for IB?

Your research should definitely help. Hopefully you have included detailed information about that or provided a synopsis as part of your 2 minute video.

Good luck!
