Chance me for UCLA and UC Berkeley

I’m half white half persian attending a fairly small school in California (around 500 total). We don’t have any AP/IB classes so most students are encouraged to take community college classes.

Intended Major: Political Science

Academics:

  1. SAT- 1370 (740 M, 630 W, 17 Essay) Also sending: 1350 (680 M, 670 W, 20 Essay)
  2. SAT II- Math 2 (720)
  3. Weighted 10-11 GPA: 4.41 (3.94 UW)
  4. Class Rank 5/120
  5. Senior year college classes: Psychology, Political science, Calculus 1, Biological anthropology Senior year High School classes: English 4, government/Econ (School doesn't offer anymore classes I can take)

Extracurriculars:

  1. Student council founder and president (Essay topic)
  2. Leadership 3 years (Similar to ASB)
  3. CSF Club President
  4. Interact club vice president
  5. Youth advisory commission member for my city
  6. Cross Country 4 years
  7. Track 2 years 8.Basketball 2 years
  8. 550+ community service hours (elderly homes, city events, food serving events)

Awards (they’re pretty weak but here they are anyways)

Piano Guild auditions (stopped after sophomore year though)

Internship/Work
unpaid marketing intern in outreach team for a tech startup in my city (essay topic)
unpaid Internship for a congressman (planned for spring)

RYLA (leadership camp from rotary)
Job shadow with county board of supervisors

I know this is a lot but please let me know if I let anything out. I am pretty confident in my essays, probably a solid 8/10. I am just interested in seeing if my stats are competitive for UCLA and/or UC Berkeley. Thanks in advance!

Your GPA and ECs are really good but your SAT score is a little low (just above 25th percentile of accepted students) for Berkeley and average at UCLA. Remember, the average SAT scores also include recruited athletes so the numbers would be higher for normal students. That might hurt your chances but you will definitely be considered!
