<p>Hello everyone! So as the app deadline approaches I just wanted to know if I should just save $80 and not even apply to some of the schools on my list if my app isn't even up to par with other applicants.
School's im applying to: Columbia, Dartmouth, NYU, Georgetown, BU, BC, Fordham (applied early action with the your choice app), Berkeley, Davis, UCSD
So here are my stats!</p>

SAT ll: taking biology/e, us history, and literature in december (I expect to do fairly well on all especially us)
GPA: w4.3 uw3.8 uc4.17 (out of 4.0)
Rank: 14 out of 600+

Jazz Band (all 4 years, rhythm section leader all)
CSF (member since middle school)
Volunteer Work: Every year I help for a month every weekend with the WGSC at competitions
I tutor some family friends kids</p>

essays: talked about how i'm breaking culture by being the first in my family to go to college
second UC essay about how leadership has impacted me
Teacher Rec: Should be good! One of them comes from a teacher who has seen me grow over the past four years and we are very close

Georgetown- high match, interview could be the make or break here
BU- low match, youve got a great shot
BC- match, probably amit
Fordham- probably safety
Berkeley- match, probably admit

UCSD- safety</p>

<p>The UC’s are not safeties. Not Berkeley for sure. An ACT of 31 is good but not good enough for some universities.</p>

<p>Berkeley is very competitive. They want the top scores. They also don’t practice affirmative action-it’s against the law. You never know with Berkeley.</p>
