@outcast I only applied EA to university of Michigan, and Priority to Maryland. I’ve gotten into both so far, but all the rest are RD
In at MD with very generous scholarship
50/50 at Berkeley
In at UCLA
50/50 at WashU
40% at Columbia
No idea about Harvey Mudd
In at Cornell
No idea for CMU or JH
In at USC
Probably in a Princeton
Toss up at Stanford
@peterin1 Thanks, any reason you predicted so many deferrals? I thought those were pretty uncommon, and usually meant rejection.
@redsnapper68 Thanks a lot.
Your UC-weighted-capped GPA puts you in the 12%/14% admit rate GPA range for prior year applicants to UCB/UCLA. While your test scores and other stuff looks good, you are also applying to majors that are more selective than the campuses overall, and test scores are not has heavily weighted relative to GPA at UCs. So consider UCB/UCLA as reaches.
@ucbalumnus
Alright, thanks. Would they take into account that my GPA is somewhat deflated by their system because I took some extra classes? The # of classes that I took would mean the theoretical maximum GPA, if I got straight As, was 4.25.
Your academics is on spot or maybe even better than what those schools look for… However your ECs seem insignificant since thousands of other applicants will have those types of ECs. Also you are a rich white male.
- University of Maryland (Definitely accept) -UC Berkeley (accept) -UCLA (accept) -Washington University in St. Louis (accept) -Georgia Tech (accept) -Columbia University (reject) -Harvey Mudd College (could go either way) -Cornell University (accept) -Carnegie Mellon University (accept) -Johns Hopkins University (accept) -USC (accept) -Princeton University (reject) -Stanford University (reject)
University of Maryland- ACCEPT
UC Berkeley- REJECT
UCLA- ACCEPT
Washington University in St. Louis- ACCEPT
Georgia Tech- ACCEPT
Columbia University- REJECT
Harvey Mudd College- WAITLIST
Cornell University- ACCEPT
Carnegie Mellon University (CS)- REJECT
Johns Hopkins University- REJECT BME, BUT ACCEPT GENERAL
USC- ACCEPT

So pretty much what allnighter21 said. Maybe wait list for USC.
Can you chance me? I’m a transfer >___<

Your stats are amazing…
I’d say you have a great chance at all the schools listed. You’d definitely be getting into most of the schools listed. The only exceptions (or difficult ones) are JHU BME (because it’s really hard to get into) and Stanford (just because 5% acceptance rate)
I’d be surprised if you didn’t get into any of the others listed.
Good luck!
Got rejected from Georgia Tech RIP. Could that be indicative of some larger bad thing for me, or just a fluke?
You are a strong candidate with great experience and certain high level of engagement in each of your activities, which show just more than interest. You have great academics so that would have kept admissions interested in you.
So, here it goes:
-University of Maryland - Acceptance
-UC Berkeley - Acceptance
-UCLA - Acceptance
-Washington University in St. Louis - Acceptance
-Georgia Tech - Acceptance
-Columbia University - Waitlist/Acceptance
-Harvey Mudd College - Waitlist/Rejection
-Cornell University (5 legacies, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents) - Acceptance
-Carnegie Mellon University (Applied to school of CS, I know it’s ridiculous) - Rejection at SCS
-Johns Hopkins University (Applied to BME Program, I know it’s ridiculously hard but they also consider you for the general school if you don’t make BME) - Rejection for BME but Waitlist/Acceptance at Whiting?
-USC - Acceptance
-Princeton University (2 legacies, one of whom is still very very connected w=to the school (was an interviewer, knows some admissions people)) - Waitlist/Acceptance
-Stanford University - Rejection
Chance me back?
