GPA: 3.5
SAT: (as of now) 1830 but will be planning to take the SAT on OCT 1 to send that score if better
630 Reading
620 Math
580 Writing

ACT: 29 Composite score
31 English
32 Mathematics
29 Reading
25 Science
29 Combined English/Writing

I do go to a public school that is very competitive. (it's flooded with asians, and I am asian as well)

Up till end of junior year I have taken 2 APs. AP World History which i got a 3 on the test, and AP music theory which i got a 4. (i did much better in music theory than world history -_-)

Should i do early action? Do u think il get deffered? Declined? Get in?
Currently during senior year I'm taking 3 more APs: AP microeconomics, AP Psychology, and AP Environmental Science. also taking Spanish 5H. (i've taken Spanish every year since 5th grade) I'm also taking a semester of TAG internship at a finance/business management firm.

If you guys need any additional information that could aid you in your opinion then please dont hesitate to let me know! Thanks, much appreciation guys =)

anyone? :l bump

Is that your academic GPA? I think you’ll be deffered because your gpa is low and GPA is the #1 factor for UGA but i think you have a good shot for RD

if that wasn’t my academic GPA, what other GPA would it be? o.o

UW with electives or weighted?

uw with elective

UGA is all about test scores and GPA, that’s it. If you can get a 2000+ SAT its worth applying to early. Otherwise you’ll probably get deferred

I personally think you have a good chance… I would go for it… Just make sure you have some safety colleges ready…

what about my 29 ACT composite score? Not good enough?

It’s actually a bit more than the 50% if it’s 29 I believe. I think your SAT/ACT backs up for your bit low GPA. I think you’ll make it, go for it!

Are you in state? If so just apply for EA, you have a really good shot at getting in. I have realized a lot of people on this section are too harsh on chances. I know a guy, in state, who got a 1700 and a 3.8-3.9 GPA and got in.
You on the other hand have a 29 which is on the 75th percentile. Your act score should also cover for your gpa being on the lower end.

If you are not in state then I do suggest you retake sat/act and get a higher score.

i am instate, oh and i have a question, on the app for uga early action it says to describe in a short essay about what major i want to be? What if I’m still undecided? ._.

Decide quick? lol all you have to do is pick the major you are most interested in atm and write about it. If you get accepted you can change the major whenever you want.
