Above link is State University System for all Florida Schools, that should help. Note your weighted vs unweight GPA seems screwy. I know quite a few kids in IB with 3.85+ unweight and MAX of 4.56 to 4.61 weighted all graduating with at least 45 semester credit hours, including daughter and in the top 3%. I cannot see how they would score any higher with IB? the top graduate had a 4.61 with all A’s. The next 4 had one B in their core subjects.

Not really that weird. I have a 3.66 uw, but 5.09 weighted. But, I’ve taken 13 AP’s and the rest are almost all honors (except for band).

That’s not “UF’s” weighted GPA, but how your High School does it. UF will recalculate your GPA (unlike some schools, like FSU, which now use the GPA on your transcripts).

To calculate your UF GPA, give yourself +0.5 points for honor classes, and +1 point for AP/DE/IB/AICE classes. Mark2m is correct, a typical IB/AICE student with a 3.85 unweight GPA would have a weighted GPA around 4.5 to 4.6.

You’re a Match. Your GPA is good, but your Test scores are just a bit low (but still in the middle 50% range of students admitted to UF). Your EC’s are great.

Good Luck!

Oh, I forgot to mention I have taken some dual enrollment college classes as well.

My grades when I applied were 3.66 uw and 4.96 w. I had a recalculated 4.96 UF gpa, so it didn’t change.

DE classes are only worth an extra point, same as IB/AICE/AP classes; if you took nothing but DE classes and had a 3.66 uw GPA your UF GPA would be 4.66. However, since I’m sure you took some honor classes (since the 9th grade), it’s likely less than 4.66.

Your (arrozconleche) GPA is fine for UF, I’m sure, no matter how we calculate it. :)

As is skullyty’s GPA.

I’d say it’s a definite match. Maybe take the standardized tests just once more if you’d Iike.

Chance me back!

Thanks !!!
