Chance Me for Vanderbilt and UVA

As the title says, it would be wonderful if you could tell me my chances of getting into Vanderbilt and UVA! I’m also applying for the Jefferson Scholarship at UVA and the Ingram and Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholarships at Vanderbilt, so it would be great if you could chance me for those as well. I applied early action to UVA and regular decision to Vanderbilt.

SAT: Math 770, CR 800, Writing 690
GPA: 4.21/4.0 unweighted
-A note on my school’s grading system: it is really weird. It is out of a 4.0 but the highest you can get is a 4.5. An A+ in a class equates to a 4.5. An A is a 4.0. B 3.0, C 2.0, D 1.0. How the pluses and minuses work out in between the there I’m not sure.

Recommendations
-From my Latin teacher 8-10 grade, who loves me and I think is a pretty good writer, I always achieved A+'s in her classes.
-From my physics and calc teacher this year and chem teacher in tenth grade, who I think likes me and I always have achieved A+'s in her classes
-From my counselor, who doesn’t know me that well but is a really good writer and I go to a very small school so it wouldn’t be hard for him to know quite a bit about me.

I will apply for financial aid.

Thank you, guys!

I definitely think you have a strong chance at Virginia. Your scores and GPA are a match and you have strong extracurriculars to add to your application. Vanderbilt is a bit more of a reach but in no way impossible. I believe that Vanderbilt’s computer science major is a part of their engineering school. If my memory is correct, this would make admission more difficult due to engineering being so impacted and competitive. Either way, you have a good shot at both schools! Good luck
