Well, I know these chance threads are pretty inaccurate, but I just want to know all your opinions anyways since Yale is my dream school. :P

You have as good a shot as the average person; you grades are on par as are your expected scores. Your ECs are nothing spectacular and I see no leadership experience which is a major minus. Honestly ECs, recs, and your essays are all that set candidates apart at highly competitive schools like Yale. Your ECs are decent, but nothing spectacular, so I would concentrate on your essays and getting great teacher recs!

Woops, I guess I forgot teacher’s recs. But I got one from my AP Biology teacher, and I know that one is going to be really strong. He said he would be so happy to write the rec for me, and that I was such a hard working student and whatnot. He’s also asking me to send him a bio, commonapp, and list of colleges. I’m also getting one from my Honors Britlit teacher this year, and I’m sure it’s going to be good (not as good as bio i think).

Thanks @maymay5678‌ ! :slight_smile:

You are as good as any serious candidate. Just make sure you don’t bite off more than you can chew. I’ve seen so many A+ students get overwhelmed with too many APs and their grades suffer and GPA suffer. Try to take the APs you are more passionate about and are more relate to your major. I can’t see why you would need to take AP Brit Lit. You would probably never take that course in college. Try trading that in for Language and Comp if available.

@KiaraInNYC‌ Thanks! :slight_smile:
