I'm definitely planning on applying ED, because I know the acceptance rate is higher. I'm really afraid that I'll be pooled into RD. My stats:

Female/Bangladeshi-American

I've played piano for eleven years, drums for four years, and guitar for one year.
I did the CTY summer program at Hopkins.
I've participated and placed in regional science (UIL, etc) competitions.
I've won some art competitions here and there district-wide.

I'm a little short on volunteering, as I could have started most volunteering programs freshman-sophomore year, but because I was double promoted, I ended up a year younger and didn't meet the age requirement. Otherwise, I do have around 65 hours of volunteering at various hospitals, nursing homes, etc (as honors societies do require community service).

Money is not a problem.

Oh I've gotten awards like Academic Excellence, but my school never really gives awards to anyone other than that and sports awards on rare occasions. I'm not very athletic because of health conditions such as hypoglycemia and anemia.
Also, I am participating in Academic Decathlon this year (not sure if that helps).

I'm also applying to University of Washington at St. Louis, University of Chicago, Emory, Cornell, Boston College, UC Berkeley, UCLA, and UT.
I ask for honest and realistic answers, and if possible, I'd like my chances at some of the other schools I am planning on applying to.

Also I'm fluent in like four languages. LOL
