<p>Harvard EA has been my goal and I will be applying next November, but starting to put my application together.</p>

GPA: 4.0/4.0
Ranking: 1-2/164
IGCSE Results: 13A*s
A-Levels: Math, Further Math, Statistics, Chinese, Economics, Chemistry, Physics, Latin (will sit the exam this summer but all are predicted A with 93% average +)
Awards/Distinctions: UKMT Senior Maths Challenge Gold Certificate, UKMT British Maths Olympiad Round 1 Qualification, 5-6 School prizes per annum (ranging from History,Latin-Biology and English), Top 12 nationally in GCSE Astronomy Exam, Awarded Academic Scholarship in 2013, Senior Science Lecture Champion, Alexander Smith Essay Prize for Virgilian Commentary winner 2013</p>

<p>Exposure:
I have lived in numerous places and so, I think, have quite a worldly perspective. These include: New York, Hong Kong, India and London.</p>

<p>I am fluent in Mandarin Chinese and use it as frequently as possible when communicating with other Chinese pupils at my school.</p>

<p>Philanthropic Activities:
Ran 20 mile charity race for Mo Farah foundation
Went to China for a month to teach English to underprivileged primary school students
Worked at St. Michaels Hospice in New Delhi India - helped with a clothing sale to race money for orphanage
Worked with my school community service programs - tutoring for 1 hour a week + mentoring unemployed youths to gain skills necessary for basic jobs
Worked on program in India to create innovation in High Schools in India - helped brainstorm the website and social media presence</p>

Internship at NASA Kennedy Space Center for 4 weeks - worked on different projects while there
Max Planck Institute for Neuroscience - Shadowed professor working on optic scanning of brain
Internship for a week at Law Practice in London </p>

<p>Recommendation Letters:
Working on two really strong letters from my two favorite and luckily best writing teachers in the school.
Counsellor recommendation is REALLY strong.
Supplementary: Former Prime Minister of the UK</p>

<p>I need to write my college essays, but I feel that if I put enough effort in this summer, they can be very strong - I have enough experiences to discuss.</p>

<p>Okay, so here’s the thing about Harvard. They have about 6,000 highly qualified applicants each year, but only accept 1,500. You have a stellar record and one of the best chances of any post that I’ve seen. But you’re applying as an international student, which is notoriously tougher, and honestly you could have the best record in the world and still get rejected if you’re not what they’re looking for. What I’m saying is you have a great shot, but don’t set your heart on it. Good luck, I’m sure you’ll do wonderfully wherever you end up.</p>
