Chance me! I'll chance back! UF is my top choice!!

Currently I am a junior in HS and an IB diploma candidate.
My current GPA is an UW 3.5 (not very high I know) and not sure about weighted
Ive taken all honors/advanced classes 9/10th grade they were the only classes they allowed you to take) and now I’m in the IB program
I just got my PSAT scores back and my predicted SAT score is an 1800. *I got that with out any studying or preparation so I know that for my march SAT exam I can score much higher – aiming for above 2200, 2300 - 2400 is my goal

Extra Curricular:
- Service Club (4 yrs)
- FBLA (4 yrs)
- Mock Trial (4 yrs)
- Steering Committee (student council)
- Swimming ( out side of school – 3 yrs)
- Dancing (Tap and Ballet, Pointe - 10 yrs)
- Piano (won awards – 10 yrs)

working on starting up a Model UN club. If my school approves of it I would be the president/ head of Model UN

150 of volunteer service

took a math (geometry – got an A) summer class summer of sophomore year so I could skip a math level

A piece of my writing has been featured in my school’s annual magazine.

Worked with my school for our community project. If all plans go, I’ll be hosting a Hunger Banquet and raising money awareness to fight hunger in LEDC (less economically developed countries)
APPLYING TO TASP – probably wont get in but its worth the shot. If I do its another thing I can add to my list.*

There are some other stuff that ive done that I cant remember or aren’t as significant.
Also which schools do you think I could get a scholarship in? I know merit wise I’m not an AMAZING student, and I’m not a D1 athlete either but I have to pay for all four years of college plus law school. My parents cant afford to pay for my college since they are both retired and are having financial issues. They can’t get much financial aid from schools or the government because they made too much money before and they have a lot of assets. So bottom line.. Im paying for college, I don’t want to take any student loans or anything because I don’t want to start my life with huge debt plus in today’s world, having a college education doesn’t guarantee you a job.

Your ECs look good, and I would say you have a very good chance if you keep your GPA up this year. However, going from 1800 to 2200/2300 is going to take a lot of work and preparation. But good luck! I hope you get in :)

what are my chances out of state
and chances in state?
because my parents are moving down to florida to retire. (they’ve had a house down there for 4 years already)
and i can either stay where i am with my older brother (stay in the same town, school, etc)
or i could move down to florida with my parents.

^^^ Chances are significantly higher for in-state students. If you score above a 2200 on the SAT though, you’d probably get in out of state as well.

And a 400 point jump from PSAT to SAT is possible… I went from a 1740 on sophomore PSAT to a 2120 Junior SAT and probably could have scored higher had i studied a bit more.
