Dude all of these are matches for you. You’re killer. I don’t think you need that higher ACT with your AP and IB workload and that stellar GPA. If you could chance me back that’d be great, but I frankly envy you because with a higher ACT you’d be a shoe-in for Ivy League schools from my perspective.
Your scores are awesome, you have alot to be proud of. From my experience (my sisters go to UCLA and Berkeley), you have a great chance at all schools with the exception of Berkeley, UCLA, and idk too much about michigan. UCLA is a match, you might or might not get in. UCB is a low reach. Best of luck to you!

@WhosonFirst thank you, they’re my dreams. I’ve had too many people say my ACT is low, damn it
@chuckleberry thank you so much, I hope I do get into them, especially LA!
Could you chance me back my man? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1737687-nd-vanderbilt.html#latest
I don’t know anything about TOEFL, but if you’re an international student with a 30 ACT, I don’t think you need to retake it. 41 for IB prediction is really impressive and you have really impressive stats and extra-curriculars.
I would say a low reach for UMich and UCs
Bump!
BUMP!
University of Michigan- reach
University of Southern California- lower reach
University of California Los Angeles- reach
University of California San Diego- lower reach
University of California Santa Barbara- match
University of California Berkeley- reach
Wisconsin- match
great ecs!!
Good Luck!
You have great extra-curricular going for you, which will give you a boost, but I would focus on your ACT scores for the California Universities. Try to aim for a 32, and is say you are a show in for all the above universities. As of right now though, your best matches are Wisconsin, Michigan Ann Arbor, and UCSB.
UCB will be hard for you, but I think you have a chance at Michigan and UCLA! (low reach) USC would be a good match for you, and Wisconsin is a low match or a high safety - you’ll get in easily.
Thank you for that @ohwildyouth I do hope so because even Wisconsin is a great school.
Heya!
Honestly I think you have a great shot at all of these schools, your ACT is almost perfect, as is your GPA and your predicted (I’m also in IB so I feel you on that. And congrats on the 41!). UCLA may be tough just because they take so few international kids, but you’re definitely in the top percentile when it comes to scores, so if anyone should get in, it’d be you.
Good luck!
Your ECs are good, great GPA/class rank. The ACT might be a bit low, but it’s fine.

Your GPA is REALLY good and your ACT is pretty competitive since your gpa is so high. I’m not sure about your course load since I don’t know a lot about how IB works but considering your IB score is so high, it couldn’t be much of a problem. If you could post your UC GPA, it would give a better idea as compared to the applicant pool. It also depends on which major. If its Comp Sci or anything in engineering your stats would be a bit less competitive, but not by much.

@SriCS123 I literally have no idea how to convert GCSE and IB to UC GPA, I tried once, it came about 4.4 - 4.6 something but I don’t know if that’s correct.
IB course load -
HL PHYSICS
HL ECONOMICS
HL MATH
SL CHEMISTRY
SL ENGLISH
SL FOREIGN LANGUAGE
I checked the uc gateways website for your courses and saw that your physics, econ, and math are only IB if you took HL2. SL Chemistry isn’t IB and your English and Foreign Language are fine. Are your physics, econ, and math HL2?
