Chance Me, I'm applying to Andover, Exeter, and Deerfield

GPA: A's throughout middle school but so far in high school it's a 3.62 ):
SSAT: Haven't taken it yet
Interview: Next week but I'm not too concerned since I'm good at social situations
ECs: Director of Public Relations on the Student Council (for our freshmen class), Model United Nations, passed 8th grade Piano for ABRSM (the highest level), flute for 5 years, track, in Elementary Tutoring, Barbershop for Girls (acapella singing group)

Chance me?

oh and I speak Chinese fluently and I've had 4 years of Spanish.

what grade are you applying for again?i have the same 2 choices, and i'm planning on applying to deerfield also (hopefully it's not too late for that yet).

you have pretty good EC's, specially the music-related ones.
i'm not really well-informed about these topics so i suggest you ask other people.hahaha

your interview is a very crucial part of your application...
also, if you nail the essays and get very good teacher recs, you chances of getting in into these wonderful schools are going to be higher.

i wish you the best of luck. ;)

for andover:
i thought my interview went okay overall... he was this really serious guy though :S all in all it was above average ish.

my personal recommendation from my past english teacher is super super good cause he actually showed me what he wrote haha XD i'm not sure for the ones for my english and math teacher though but they shouldn't be too bad as i'm pretty much on good terms with them.

also i'm Taiwanese and i currently live in Shanghai.

International student. are you applying for FA?

what grade are you applying for again?
my andover interviewer was the only "friendly looking"... all the other interviewers for the other kids (there were 3 others) looked really serious and kinda intimidating!!!

I'm Taiwanese-Cantonese-American (haha)
I never know what to call myself when people ask me where I'm from though... XD

nope no financial aid

They don't take very many international students. you could send a recording of your playing.

ahh do they not accept many international students because just not many international students apply or is it because they're actually not accepting them because they're international?

probably both. It's like 9 percent of international students.

Your SSAT score will be critical to your chances. The stats that you posted are average compared to the other applicants that you are competing against. I hate to be negative, but it's the reality.

Your ssat will make or break you I believe. Best of luck though. You have an impressive app! Chance me back if you get the chance! Im really nervous about getting in!

So did you get in?

What the person above me said XD
