Strong Recommendations (Teacher said I had an infectious smile, always able to help others, made the biggest difference in the school with the creation of my club in the last 2 years)
I’ve been communicating with the admissions counselor and we’ve been talking for a while.

What are my chances? I know my GPA is pretty weak and math SAT score but I challenge myself academically and I barely have any Cs.

In my essay, I also touched on not getting into my technical school’s Sports Medicine program but eventually got in through another program. I used the fearless question.

I would assume it depends on what program you applied for, particularly whether it’s a LEP or not.

I wouldn’t count on it. Your SAT is extremely low for Maryland as well as your GPA, which UMD weights heavily. I wouldn’t hold my breath unless you have truly exceptional ECS or breathtaking essays.
