Your uw GPA is a little bit low, but your ACT is at 75% for Umich and above average for NU. I would say you should be a match to high match for Umich, but a low reach for NU. If you apply to UMich, look up the mid-west exchange program that may have you to pay oos tuition.

Thanks so much billcsho!

^ I mean the mid-west exchange program may help you to pay oos tuition.

Ik and thanks for telling me abt it

I think I, too, know what school in Illinois you go to (I’m also from Illinois).

Besides that, the fact that you are legacy at Northwestern does help a good bit. Northwestern is known to value legacy, so that will help your chances a lot. As such, I’d say:

Northwestern: Low Reach
Wash U: Low Reach/ Reach
U Michigan: High Match
Johns Hopkins: Low Reach

Your UW GPA is going to hurt you, especially because of the presence of a C. It won’t hurt too much, however. You have a good ACT score, which will help you.

To improve your chances for WUSTL, show interest in the school. It’s the only one on your list where demonstrated interest is a real bonus. Your GPA is probably fine, and your ACT is great. All the schools on your list except for WUSTL have supplemental essays. An essay that conveys that you really researched the school may help your chances.

Thanks everyone! And legooo my school got rid of class rank after my freshman year, but I used to be twenty fifth out of the 550 something people in my class. And thanks psychodad10 the thing about showing interest in the schools is really helpful!
