Chance Me - Northwestern, Rice, and others

<p>Hi! I’ll be a high school senior this fall, and I plan on doing a dual degree in college – Music Performance (I play the French horn) and Engineering. </p>

<p>I’m planning on applying to Northwestern, Rice University, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Johns Hopkins, Oberlin College, University of Southern California Boston University and University of Michigan in Ann Arbor (as well as University of Florida and Florida State University as safeties) – What are my chances?</p>

<p>Great credential. I think UMich would be the best fit for you. It got great engineering and music school both in the North campus. You should have no problem getting into CoE, but Music performance is mostly depending on audition.</p>

<p>Also, what chances do I have of getting merit scholarships from these schools?</p>

<p>Match for a lot of those schools (sorry I’m really lazy and don’t wanna individually chance you).
With your SAT scores and whatnot I would recommend that you also apply to an even more competitive school, just for kicks. Have you looked into Cornell or UPenn?</p>

<p>Did you make sure that your intended double major is possible to do at all these schools because I know some schools might not let you so double check</p>
