26 ACT :(- that's an 1810/1200 on the SAT if you convert
I go to a very competitive US high school (top 50)</p>

<p>I do not know much about SUNY Geneso so I will leave someone else to chance you on that.</p>

<p>With NYU, however, your ACT score is hurting you and your GPA may be a tad bit off the mark.
If you go on their website, their middle range for the ACT is 29-31 and GPA is a 3.6 </p>

<p>However, your essays and extracurriculars (I’m going to assume that you do a lot more than what you listed), that may make up for your academics. </p>

<p>Thanks for chancing me junaid1021, I thought I would chance you back for NYU. I think everything other than your ACT score is great, (did you not take the SAT? or are you just not submitting?) also by applying ED 2 you do have a better shot, as much as they say it does not affect your likelihood of admittance, it’s not completely true. It is definitely a plus that you have leadership roles and a good amount of comm. service. Also, it’s a good thing that your personal statements/essay is great because Gallatin concentrates the most on those! I think you have a relatively good shot :)</p>

<p>I applied to CAS at NYU. I was going to do Gallatin but I ultimately decided with CAS.</p>

<p>I think you are in at suny but nyu is going to be a reach but not impossible ed will help. Goodluck I hope you get in to nyu. Can u please chance.</p>

<p>Better chance at NYU, purely based on the numbers, but not good chance. They have almost identical SAT and ACT requirements. Geneseo is much smaller than NYU…they will only accept a bit over 900 freshman. Since NYU takes many more applicants, you may have a better shot, but you should seriously consider another shot at the ACT.</p>
