Have you looked at Berkshire. You most likely get in. They have an amazing soccer program. They have been the Class A champions for 4 out of 5 years, making them the best boys prep school soccer program in the US. They also have really good baseball. They are still giving tours till the end of the month and because of their established soccer program, you are very likely (almost positive) to get in. I am a current student so if you have questions just pm me. Best of luck!
Looks like you are very solid. Videos of your soccer skills are always a plus. Sort of a downside you have three EC’s, but don’t worry, EC’s wont be the major factor in your admission decision. Good luck!
I don’t follow. Are you saying that OP should have more EC’s in addition to those 3 plus the sports? From what I understand the schools are looking for quality EC involvement, not just quantity.
@AppleNotFar
sorry, I was writing this during lunch. Let me clarify, I’m just saying that while schools look for quality, not quantity (Nobody likes a person who does like 14 different clubs and never attends a meeting), there are plenty of applicants out there who are involved in their NJHS, Key Club, ASB, Student Council, Yearbook, Tour Guide, etc, and while Jimmy has the hook of baseball, all I was attempting to say was that the three EC’s are enough, but more EC’s wouldn’t do any harm. No harm done with more EC’s, just saying. I’m not trying to say that he is less likely to be admitted due to his three EC’s, okay?
And like I said, EC’s aren’t the admit or not decision factor…
Definite for loomis which is very sports oriented. yes for taft. Questionable for Choate, do you need FA? If not, good chance. St George’s is very small and you reallly have to want it. Write convincing essays.
I am at Choate, and if you haven’t talked to any of the coaches here, I wouldn’t give you a good chance. I also would like to know what school you went to in CT, I went to GCDS.
Also, your grades make a difference but your essays mean a lot more at Choate.
