Chance me-perfect SAT/PSAT, unsure of ECs

Hanajima Arashi--Yeah, Narita was awful. I was completely lost, it sucked. That whole trip improved my Japanese quite a bit; if you haven't already visited, I strongly recommend it. Immersion really is the best way to learn.

broetchen--Thank you for the advice, that's reassuring to hear. I'll speak with my parents more regarding my summer plans.

Thanks to everyone!

is this humanly possible??

:D

your stats make me tremble in fear...

now all you need is some good luck =)

I think you should limit yourself to your favorite/best EC's. It seems like you're trying way too hard to pad your app. Colleges like to see extreme involvement in a few ec's, not a couple awards in every single ec possible.

Just a suggestion. Otherwise, your stats rock :)

HYPS is unpredictable, but you're probably in everywhere else. BTW, how'd you manage to go to Japan for a summer by yourself? I'm curious because I study Japanese too.

Do you have a social life?

*** man. CRAZY STUFF ;_;

ChadtheRTF-My teacher suggested it to my parents, and the local Japan America Society funded it. It was an awesome experience, I would highly recommend it.

boomer2o5-Surprisingly, yes. Way more of one than I should have, probably...I didn't do too much my freshman year but I've been kinda nuts this year.

I'm good at learning large amounts of information very quickly, which minimizes study time, making these stats possible. My academic strategy (throwing myself blindly into the heaviest workload possible) isn't advisable, but it's worked so far, mainly because I have a strong memory.

I sound far too arrogant...my apologies, I probably approached this thread in the wrong mindset.

lol nerd........

Woswill--It'll be hard (if not impossible) to convince you otherwise, but I'm honestly not a nerd. Academics are far from the center of my life; I just have certain strengths (namely, test taking).

in my opinion, jobs > summer programs.
Especially cause you have good academics anyways. Try to get a job
related to your passions.

p.s. your numbers look amazing. one of the best i've seen ... with a tad bit of luck i'm sure you'll get into at least one of the HYPS

: P

Alright, I guess I'll try for a job rather than the Harvard program. Hopefully it'll all work out in the end.

when you take over the world can i be your lieutenant?

Seriously. I have no idea whether you'll become the guy who finds the cure for AIDS or become America's next diabolical corrupt politician.

Either way, I want to be your assistant.

There are probably less than 20 people in the world with stats and schedules better than yours, if that. Congrats. I'm just taking a guess though. It would be interesting to see how successful you become in say 15 years, if your test taking skills convert to real life skills or not.

They say ivies aren't a guarantee for anyone, but I am absolutely sure you will get into an ivy league school if you happened to apply to all of them. And Harvard and Stanford can make very erratic choices, but I'd say you are most likely in in either one.

Just wondering... how did you manage to take AP Calculus BC and Multivariable at the same time? Everyone takes BC calc first, then MV calc. I didn't know you could even do them at the same time. Especially in 11th grade.

idk but i wouldn't say that...not that his stats aren't amazing.

Or the guy that never made it :)

Ok, I might be exaggerating, but still. My school has sent kids to Harvard, and they are extremely brilliant kids, but this kids stats and courses top them by quite a bit. The smartest kid I know had taken MV calc in 12th. This kid has taken it in 11th.

i know a kid to took mvc in 10th grade..

^so do I, lol. wish idid :P
