<p>@fairburn, thank you. Do you know anything about submitting your federal tax return via idocs? My parents have not filed for 2011 and are waiting until June, so what are my options?</p>
<p>Your parents may not be able to wait until June. If they have a very specific reason for waiting so long, then I suggest that you contact the financial aid office right away. You will want to speak with a financial aid officer to explain. They may be willing to accept your parents 2010 tax return, but more likely they will tell you that your parents return must get done earlier to be eligible.</p>
<p>There is nothing special about idoc. Instead of sending the return to the financial aid office on campus, you will be asked to send it to idoc which is administered by the College Board. You will have to fill out an idoc cover sheet which is no big deal, but just be careful to follow the instructions exactly, or it won’t get processed, and will be sent back to you.</p>
<p>If the financial aid office is willing to accept your parents’ 2010 return, then they will probably have you mail it directly to them (not idoc.) Then, of course, they will need the 2011 returns as soon as they are finished, and your financial aid award will be subject to change after they have seen the 2011 return.</p>
