Chance me please? Also, ED with financial need?

I'm thinking I'm going to be applying to Holy Cross in a year (only a Junior right now). What do you think my chances are?

UW GPA: 3.771 (Will most likely be around 3.75 at graduation)
W GPA: ~3.9

1 honors class sophomore year
3 AP Classes this year
2 AP classes and 1 honors class Senior year

I would be applying test optional to all of these. For F & M, they have a thing where they have you submit two writing assignments. On an ACT composite scale I'd rate my writing at about 28, if that helps.

Extracurriculars:

Robotics team: 2 years. Will be 3 after senior year, 2 of which will be as head of finance.
Varsity hockey: 1 year. Had to stop after knee injury

Awards/recognition:
Lettered in academics my Freshman year
Recently qualified to go to States in the "Econ Challenge" for our AP Economics class

What do you think guys?

Also, I was considering applying ED, but I do have financial need. Is there a chance that I get accepted to Holy Cross but they don't give me aid? And is this enough of a possibility to not apply ED?

Thanks!

Check the Net Price Calculator on the college’s website.
Avoid ED if your family income is from a business, or is in any way complicated.
In those situations the NPC, may lead you to believe you qualify for a lot of FA, when the college deems that you don’t.

If your class rank is in the top 15% or higher, you will likely get admitted.

My rank is 27% unweighted. Weighted, I’m in the top quarter. Do I still have a chance?

It will be a bit of a reach. Did you interview? Demonstrating serious interest in the college could be the tie breaker.

I definitely will be interviewing and doing a campus tour. Would you recommend applying ED in my situation? That would certainly show interest but the financial aid is a concern

From a current sophomore at HC (not me)- find out who your local recruiter is and contact them. Even if you don’t go ED, let them know this is your top choice and if accepted you will go. They like to hear enthusiasm from candidates. Participate in every chat you can (that counts in the "interest) and find alums you can talk to. They have a great program to attend in the summer and they are very upfront with what they are looking for- especially with essays. Essays and interest can be areas that put you over the top and are easy to control- unlike class ranking and GPA. Strong alumni network.

The reputation of the school is that the ED students don’t get much aid.
