I would say, based on our experience, that those numbers will get a look, so beyond that it’s all about the essays and conveying her passion, and conveying who she is. Elites take a look at candidates that can be successful, then build a class based on what they are looking for - there is no way to predict beyond that, so have some good safety schools, match schools, and multiple reach schools (like Vandy). Top 20 schools are reach for everyone - even legacy and valedictorians. Good luck!

Thank you for your feedback! I know some say these ‘chance me’ threads are worthless predictors. But as a first time prospective college parent I do learn a little when reading responses, or reading other peoples ‘chance me’ threads. Anyone that reads this should follow ATXDAD15 advice above. Start with a safety school (your local state university). Add in some match schools (in our case Butler, Creighton, Drake), which wasn’t a reach for DS to be admitted, but is a reach for us financially. And then add in a few elites (Vandy is 1 of his four). I’ve read there is a lot of scholarship/grant money as some of these elites, so the high bar is not so much affording them, but just getting admitted. Certainly worth $50/$75 a pop to apply to a few.
