Chance Me Please for NYU BPE (The Business and Political Economy Program)

I am a current senior. I usually wouldn't ask for people to chance me, but I couldn't really find any concrete data online for the BPE program. Even NYU's official website states in its FAQs:

"What is the acceptance rate for the program?
Since this is the first year we are accepting students to the BPE program, we have

no historic data to indicate what our acceptance rate will be

I would really appreciate it if you would look at my stat and tell me what percent chance I have for getting into the program for Regular Decision. I hope this may also help future prospectative students considering the program. It only accepts 25-50 people, so if you were accepted last year, please give me some extra advise.
Why I may fit well with the BPE program:
1) Fluent in Mandarian Chinese (Half Semester in NYU Shanghai), Took three years of French (Not Fluent but will get there with a few years in colleges).
2) Love both business and government. I am trying to find a internship with a Congressman (Any tip on this will also be appreciated).
3) Always wanted to learn both economic and finance, and most colleges only offer one.
4) Enjoy really rigorous coursework and stimulating global and diverse experience.
5) Have a great interest in international politic. Loved learning about individuals like Henry Kissinger and Margaret Fetcher.

You have a very good chance based on the stats.

While I would like someone to chance me, I would much rather have more information about the program from people from are actually doing it. What are the pros/cons of taking part in it from the student perspectative? NYU only has about a ~2000 words summary of the entire program on her website and most of it is official jumbo that doesn’t mean much to us students. Thanks.

Bump. Also, thanks to Sarora for you input.

Hello master100,
While researching the program I found this thread, and that it was a while ago. I was wondering if you decided to apply/are currently in the BPE program? I really like what I have read about it but haven’t been able to find anyone in it to talk to. Do you have any thoughts on it? Thanks.

I spoke with a few kids in BPE and a large majority all either switched out or are planning on it. The problem is that when you graduate, you don’t graduate with say a degree in “finance.” It’s simply a degree in business and political economy. And since it’s so new, very few employers will really understand what your major really entails. If you’re set on doing like finance or a specific major then it doesn’t sound like a good program. Of course, this is only my opinion and you should ask other people in BPE.
