Chance me please, homies! (And Imma chance you right on back!)

collegeluva101,
“Also, I noticed you said Brown would be one of those trying to protect yield #'s. It’s actually one of my top schools, so do you think my chances would increase if I was able to articulate just how much I love the school in my “Why Brown?” essay?”

Obv your very smart. You put in tons of time and effort into your mosaic. How much more effort would it really take to give yourself the BEST chance. Just like I tell MY kids, I’d hate for you to miss your goal because you ran a marathon but slowed up 100 yards from the finish line.

Go get 'em

@nystocktrader, Thank you for the wonderful advice! :)

What is your unweighted GPA? P.s. we are LITERALLY stats twins.
I’m a full diploma candidate, 4.67 (on the dot) weighted gpa (but much lower unweighted, ~ 3.78) and 34 on the ACT. I’m a Kenyan girl. WOOOO Africans  And I applied SCEA to Harvard, too!

You’re in.

-Harvard University-high reach (You can’t just say its a low reach! Unless you’ve won like Intel ISEF or IMO, how can you just say “low reach”?)
-Brown University-low reach
-Yale University-reach
-Princeton University-high reach
-Duke University-reach
-Johns Hopkins University-high match/low reach
everything else is pretty much a low match/safety

You are definitely getting in to at least one HYP school. I see you getting into 2 or 3 though. I really hope you do great things after college with stem cells and what not. please chance me back homie!

While your awards aren’t that dope nor your subject test scores nor your ECs (other than Harvard internship), but I think you can get in due to your URM status (one of the biggest failings of “diversity” plays in your favor). What’s your major and why not Princeton over Harvard?

Thank you for all your chances! I actually got into Harvard SCEA so I’m very happy!!
