Chance me, please! Stanford #1

^I'm not asian, so that confuses me. xD

Don't listen to the haters on this site...I think that it is cool that you learned Japanese! :)

Whoa! A White Girl president of Japanese Club... that's a first... Hopefully that is unique enough for you... and then there's half of me hoping not bc I'm applying too :) haha

Berkeley OOS; Match

I've known several people who got into Stanford from our school. 2 skipped a grade, so they were 16-17 when they applied: one of them had the grades and the ec's, the other only had the grades, but both of them reflected themselves very well in their essays. One was an Indian girl, the other was an Asian guy. The other girl didn't have either EC's nor grades, but still got in: she was the surfer, extreme sports type.

So the impression I got from Stanford is that you need to be unique and have good essays, grades and EC's are basically secondary, in my humble opinion. I'm pretty sure that you have a good idea already if you'll get in. I hope that this will help you make a better judgment.

I wouldn't be surprised if you got into 1 of the Stanford/Brown/Colombias. If I was putting money on you, I would put money on stanford rejecting you, but that doesn't mean there isn't a decent chance.
