buuuumpppppppppp

are you applying as an international student?.If so, will you require Financial Aid?

hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Looks good! but its really a mystery how the admissions office works

As a former applicant, I will comment that it is very, very tough to see how admissions work (as has been said), but I'll wager that it'll come down to if your essay somehow touches them particularly well. I predict if so, you'll get in, and if not, they'll flatly reject.

Too many of the "fairly good grades, lots of good classes, volunteered a ton, did debate and played a sport" candidates exist, it seems...and in my year, some very strange admissions decisions were made. I actually did not apply to most of the schools you're talking about, but have observed those who did.

Oh, and as a note, I'm not belittling your academics...it's just that I don't think universities know how to REALLY gauge who's fiercely into them, and beyond a point, resort to odd selection methods.

You're in the running along with about 80% of applicants to those schools as long as your class rank is high. Your SAT is median for those schools, something in your application will have to push you over the finish line.

buuuuuuuuuuuump

Also, in the ISEF competition, I built a pill that contains insulin for patients with Type 1 Diabetes.

i think u got a good shot, i hope u have safeties cuz those are known to be "crapshoots" and yes that was some sarcasm, ur ethnicity helps i believe (im not aware of lots of persians applying)

what do u mean by top 50 winners of isef? other than that from limited info, you seem to have a good chance for those schools, esp since you are iranian
