Chance Me Please - Starting to get nervous :(

<p>Hi, I'm a high school senior in Australia just graduated in September :) applying for next fall, so Fall 2009 - Class of 2013. I'm like desperate to go to SC, been making a pilgrimage everytime I go to LA </p>

<p>Citizenship: US Citizen residing abroad
Ethnicity: Caucasian/White</p>

<p>SAT: 2210 - CR: 720 W: 680 M:800
ACT: Haven't taken
SAT IIs: French: 710 Chemistry: 740 Maths 2: 760</p>

<p>GPA: ??? Well latest UAI estimate I think its 97.6 which means I am better then or equal to 97.6% of 12th graders in my state. </p>

<p>Classes for 11th and 12th Grades: French Continuers, English Advanced and Extension, Chemistry and Maths Extensions 1 and 2 (which apparently is a University Level Course) and in 11th grade I also took Ancient History.</p>

<p>My grades are pretty solid - coming in High 80's to 90's for everything. My estimate for UAI like I said above, well the latest which was like in March was 97.6 But I go to a pretty competetive school as well. Coming 18th out of 160 in English Advanced, 35/123 in Maths Ext 1 and 18/69 in Chemisty if that kind of places me, </p>

<p>I did a semester in the US in 10th grade and was in almost all honors classes, except for French which I was taking French 4, and I got all A's, like high A's. </p>

<p>School: Public - Academically Selective - All Girls - Sent Students to ivies from australia - normally ranked within top 5 of the state. (our system is state by state not nationwide)</p>

<p>Essays: Essay for USC is pretty solid, entertaining and different I hope. Other Essay about semester in the US and how it has changed me forever....</p>

<p>Hey I also live in Australia, go to Melbourne High which is also a selective school. Was wondering how much you would have to study for SAT II's in order to do really well (780+) if you already take the subjects at the hardest level over here. I am also probably going to recieve an ENTER (our equiv of UAI) around 97-98 but I honestly don't think that would be enough for me to get in anywhere worthwhile. I think you would have more of a chance due to being American and having good results while you were in America. I think it will be pretty hard to venture a guess of your chances, I have searched quite a bit and have found no threads of Australians who have stated their stats and where they have got in. Your SAT's shouldn't let you down because you are in about the 50th percentile of people that get accepted into those colleges. Good luck.</p>
