Chance me please?

<p>I am a white male from New Jersey currently a junior, and was wondering what my chances at UPenn were. Here are my accomplishments:</p>

<p>SAT scores- Reading 740, Math 800, Writing 740 (2280)
SAT II scores- Bio(790), Math II(800), Chem(800)
Class rank= 7/370 = top 2%
GPA= 4.8 out of 4.6 weighted, 4.2 out of 4.6 unweighted</p>

<p>APs:
Bio(5), Chem(5), Stat(5)
Taking Calc BC, US history, Language and Composition, and Macro/Micro this year (will have 8 total after junior year, judging so far I would predict 5's in calc, macro/micro, and history and a 4 in language and comp)</p>

<p>EC's:
Eagle Scout, Senior Patrol Leader of Boy Scout Troop (Fancy name for president)
Treasurer of Youth and Government Club in school
Volunteer at local hospital (100 hours of service)
NHS member, Science NHS member
Running for president of Jewish Student Union in school this year
Math Team
Science League
Peer Leader
Peer Mentor
Varsity Chess Team (will be captain + number 1 next year)
Varsity Golf (4 years, captain this year and next year)
Year long independent, original research project this year done in school</p>

<p>What do you guys think? How can I better myself this year to improve my chances?</p>

<p>May I ask which college you’re applying to? Wharton or CAS? Because that does make a difference.</p>

<p>Wharton, but just to know, how would my chances be for CAS also?</p>

<p>Just remember that the College is no cakewalk either–9% overall acceptance rate (via an official letter from Penn) for both ED and RD, so RD <9% last year.</p>

<p>May I ask, where do you go to high school? Public/Private?</p>

<p>I really can’t make a sound judgment from the amount of information you listed - it is not very long. Perhaps if you elaborated on your ECS a bit more (as in any special things, leadership etc.) I can tell you your chances that way. At this moment I can only tell you that your ECs are scattered with no clear focus so Wharton might not be a good choice. CAS would be a better bet if your essays, recs, and overall presentation of the app is great.</p>
