Applying ED

Here is a link to the most recent entering class profile. ([Quickguide Undergraduate Admissions | Boston University](http://www.bu.edu/admissions/apply/quick-guide/)). I’ve summarized the information below:

Total Applicants:43,979
Total Freshmen: 3,900
Average Rank in High School Class:Top 9%
Average GPA: A-
SAT Composite Average: 2005
ACT Average: 29

Additionally, there is specific high school curriculum that BU Admissions recommends(<a href=“Boston University Freshmen Applicant Information | Admissions):%5B/url%5D”>Boston University Freshmen Applicant Information | Admissions):

Four years of English
Three to four years of mathematics (precalculus/calculus recommended)
Three to four years of laboratory science
Three to four years of history and/or social science
Two to four years of a foreign language

any more helps?

Your test scores are slightly low—BU’s average for SATs is around 1900-2000 and ACTs around 29. Your ECs are pretty average and don’t stand out either. Depending on what school/program within BU you are applying to, your chances will vary but right now I’d say it’s not a good one or a bad one. Get those scores up for a stronger chance.

like the person above said, you need better test scores. i recommend focusing on either ACT or SAT, not both. by now, you should know which one fits you better.
I’d say it would be pretty difficult if you’re applying to ENG or SMG… i think it really depends on what school you’re applying to.
