Chance me please!

Hi I'm new to college confidential!
I am a senior in High school with the intent on EDing Cornell university as a chem major. Here are my stats:
SAT I:800M 680CR
SAT II: 720 math I, 760 chemistry
APs: Chemistry 5, US History 5
GPA unweighted: 3.94/4.00
Top decile of class
ECs and honors: Varsity track and field, Jazz Band trombone player 2nd chair, Princeton Book Award, NHS, Eagle Scout (expected 2014), etc.

I am very anxious for the Nov. 1 deadline.. as I'm sure everyone else is. I have parental legacy at Cornell and a connection to the afrtoc detachment (as I have applied for the scholarship) and I would appreciate feedback on what I can expect. I have heard from admissions officers that Cornell typically disregards the writing section of the SAT so for the sake of keeping things strictly Cornell, I did not include it.
Thanks for any advice!! College Confidential seems to attract a lot of honest opinion!

I think you’re good!

Well…i’m not seeing any ec’s regarding chemistry, which is bad…your SATs are good as well as your grades. With the legacy I say you are at a low reach ED

@bilnythesciguy, OO ur totally right! I actually did compete in the high school chem olympiad, but never got any honors or leadership outta it so i replaced it with another activity on my app. I see that may be a mistake…

I forgot to mention, the afrotc detachment is willing to write me a personal recommendation to the CAS office of admissions. Does anyone know if that helps my standings any more?
