Chance Me Please!

Hi everyone,

I am currently a sophomore in high school, hoping to apply to Carnegie Mellon (2016)

My projected GPA at the end of 12th grade should be ~3.85-3.93

But mostly it should be ~3.87.

WITHOUT Freshman year ~3.99-4.00.

I have NOT taken the SAT's yet, but I have heard the SAT scores accepted are generally 1500 or >. Of course, the higher the better. Projected SAT score should be 1800+

700-800 in Math, English should add up to either 1000-1100 together.

My high school course from 9th grade to now (and above (projected)).

Pre-Secondary (Before 9th grade):

1) Algebra I
GPA: 3.0
2)Algebra II (self-study)
GPA: 4.0
3) Physical Science (BASIC Physics + BASIC Chemistry)
GPA: 4.0
4) French Language
GPA: 4.0
Total: 3.75

But come on, it was before secondary...

9th Grade (Freshman year)

1) Standard English (school does NOT have honors)
-English is Writing I class and Literature I class.
GPA: ~ 3.6 combined.

2) Geometry (school does NOT have honors) Needed this class for credits.
GPA: 4.0

3) Biology
GPA: 3.67

4) Russian Language
GPA: 4

5) World Geography
GPA: 4

That is all for the core-courses. Total GPA: 3.85

Very unproud.

Sophomore year so far:

1) Standard English
-Writing II + Literature II
GPA: 4.0 (Combined) WILL maintain 4.0 until the end of the year.
2)Physical Science (dont know why but they wont let me take Chem or Physics) Im too young :(
GPA: 4.0 WILL Maintain 4.0 until the end of the year.

3) Pre-Calc (ONLY FOR CREDITS!!)
GPA: 4.0 WILL maintain this. Ive already done it, but did not receive credits so must do it again.

4) AP Calculus AB
GPA: 4.0 Definitely maintain this. Its the most-paid-attention to subject, I love it.

5) Modern World History
GPA: 4.0 Will maintain this.

6) 2 BIO credits, did not finish last year, since I entered high school late.
GPA: 3.5
I have a chance to redo it. To make it a 4.0

DANG IT! Bio ruins it for me.

Thats all for core-classes. At the min GPA will be ~ 3.95-4.00 this year. 3.95 if bio teacher does not allow me to change it.

Projected classes for future years.

Junior year 11th grade:

1) AP Calculus BC
GPA:4, math is one subject I will never ever dare to get less than an A in.
2) Differential Equation
GPA: 4
3) Chemistry
GPA: 3.9 ~ 4.0
4) Physics
GPA: 4.0 Physics and Math are two subjects I work extremely hard on.
5) American History (normal, no AP)
GPA: Undecided, but should be able to maintain a 4.0
6) Russian Language
GPA: 4.0
7) AP English
GPA: Undecided... Cant say anything about this subject.

Senior year (12th grade)
1) Multivariable Calculus
GPA: 4.0 (same reason as above in AP Calc BC)
2) AP Physics C (Electricity and Magnetism)
GPA: Undecided, heard its very hard
3) AP Chemistry
GPA: undecided, VERY VERY Hard.
4) AP English 2
GPA: Undecided, VERY VERY VERY hard.
5) AP Econ/AP Govt./AP Polit.
GPA: Undecided, should be able to keep a 4.0 though.
6) AP Russian Language
GPA: 4.0 Wont take the AP exam. I dont need credit for this class.

Math is looking very strong, but I am not sure about English or Chemistry. Im not the best at both of those. English teacher is ultimate-hard.

One more question: Does CMU look at Biology? I'm planning to enter Computer Science, Biology was definitely a weak point for me. If they don't factor 9th grade in, then I don't have to worry about Biology!

Thanks guys :D
