Hi Guys, if you can help me out it would be greatly appreciated! I'm a rising senior looking at my options. By the way, I'm a male caucasian from New York.

GPA - 97.8 unweighted (out of 100 possible)
Rank - Most likely top 5% in class
SAT (superscore)= CR- 680 M- 690 W- 710 (2080/1370)
SATIIs - Bio (700) - taking more in October (US History, World History, Math I)

In terms of course rigor, my school doesn't offer APs or electives, the work is standard for all. According to guidance, all our classes are marked as "honors". I did the best with what I had. In fact, I even took AP tests on the side to prove to admissions officers that my work ethic was above par, and that the courses were intense. I tried AP EURO sophomore year, but only ended up with a 3 (not submitting). This past year, I took LIT and BIO but the results are still pending.

Extraciriculars:

Speech and Debate (9,10,11,12) - (Captain) Had success in debate during all four years. Qualified for nationals all years. Highlights include being a semifinalist in the state freshman year, finishing as second seed sophomore year at states, all state debate sophomore, junior, senior year, and a top 32 in the country finish at nationals.

Orchestra (9,10,11,12) - String bass

Science Olympiad (11,12) - competitive in numerous events at regional and state level

Newspaper/Publication (11,12) (editor) - write articles for both in print and online version of the paper, promoted to editorship shortly after joining for skill and leadership ability.

Honor Society (all years available)

Work Experience:

State Senator (Majority Leader) Internship (Summer 2013) - Learned a lot while doing things like writing formal responses to requests made out to the Senator and worked. I also assisted the staff while operating district events sponsored by the Senator. Did it three days a week for almost two months. (unpaid)

Internship at Cancer Genetics Research Lab at Columbia University (Summer 2014) - Along with helping the lab carry out its planned experiments, I am able to come up with my own experiments/hypothesizes and test them with the lab behind them. I hope to be published in a paper in the future authored by the head of the lab. This experience will be an ongoing thing, as I hope to return throughout the rest of my schooling through senior year. I also hope to write up a document of the things that I discovered from my own experiments at the lab, and submit it as supplement to the application.

*******Most likely asking the senator and the head doctor at the lab for letters of recommendation.

Other Summer Stuff:

JHU CTY (Summer 2011) - Race and Politics Course at Lafayette College (over three weeks)

CTY Civic Leadership Institute at Johns Hopkins University (Summer 2013) - This program included 100 hours of service learning and 25 hours of hands on community service in the inner city of Baltimore. (over three weeks)

So if you could help me out, in terms of my chances that would be great. Any recommendations would be awesome too.

Right now, I'm thinking of applying ED to Williams College (I also have a slight hook, since one family friend sits on a board with the head of admission - not sure if a letter from him, the friend, would matter)

Assuming I don't get in, the other schools I'm looking to are:

UChicgao - EA
University of Virginia - EA
Loyola Maryland - EA
Caltech????? - EA
Brown
Amherst
Tufts
Georgetown
Colgate
Middlebury
Cornell
Kenyon
Stanford
Harvard
**Last two just I'm just trying it, not expecting anything back

Suggestions, comments, concerns, etc. Let me know of colleges that might be good for me to apply to, that I may not have listed.
