Chance me please

I am going into my junior year and I was just wondering what I can do this year to build off of the base I formed in the past two years to better prepare myself for college and make my application more impressive during the admissions process.

GPA: 4.2 UW (If you include 4.3 for A+ as unweighted otherwise it’s a 4.0)
4.4 W

AP:
Took AP world history last year and got a 4 on the test
This year I am taking AP Spanish Language and Culture, AP English Language, AP US history and AP Physics
Besides this I am taking all honors courses (besides theology) and my electives are Journalism and Medical explorations

ECs:
PF debate and extemp for past two years and continuing
Student council class president for past two years (will not be continuing in club this year)
NSHS starting this year
Link crew (help freshmen transition into high school) starting this year
Math club last year and continuing (also a tutor)
Women in Science club last year and continuing
Special Olympics club last year and continuing
Arrupe club (volunteering) starting this year
Soccer team captain past two years and not continuing
Field hockey past two years and continuing

Volunteering:
I volunteer often but not at one specific place

Work:
I work part time as a lifeguard starting this summer and it will continue into the school year

Awards:
Premio de Plata as a freshman in National Spanish Exam
Honor Roll every semester
Not much else that I can think of - this is my worst category. I do get medals at debate meets but I don’t really count those because I have never earned one at the state or national level

Scores:
I haven’t taken the SAT or ACT yet but I plan on taking them both and according to the PSAT and PLAN I am predicted to get a 2250 and 33 respectively

I am hoping to go to a top school. Some of my favorites are Penn, Georgetown, Duke, Columbia, Johns Hopkins, etc. What do I need to do to improve on my application to be able to get into these schools.

P.S. (Sorry if this is in the wrong category. I’m not really asking what my chances are as of now rather what I could do to improve them but I still think this is the right category.)

I’m a rising senior

Your EC’s and GPA are very good. You just need to take your standardized tests. In addition to the SAT and ACT, you may also need to take Subject Tests. You should take at one science and one math subject test since some colleges require subject tests for certain majors.

I wouldn’t solely rely on getting into top schools. You should set aside 1-2 safety schools just in case things don’t go your way. However, based on you posted, I can say you have a good shot at getting into a prestigious school.

Hope this helps and good luck with junior year!

for your ECs, keep seeking out leadership positions, and try to get as involved as possible in each activity as possible. maintain a high gpa (some people have it drop junior year if they take a lot of APs), and keep studying for standardized tests so you can score well. good luck!
