Chance me?? PLEASE

Hey guys, I’m overly anxious about receiving my admissions decision, so I thought having you guys predict my chances would be helpful. Here are my colleges: Haverford College, Swarthmore College, Franklin and Marshall college, Dickinson College, Lehigh University, Colby College, Wesleyan, and Lafayette college.

Here are my stats:
Unweighted GPA: 3.94 with a class rank of 8/580
Weighted GPA: 4.67/5.0 with a class rank of 7/580
SAT: 1290 (I know this is really low)
Senior year courses: TOK, IB Language A HL, IB Chemistry HL, IB Physics SL, IB 20th Century HL, IB Mathematics SL
-I’m also an IB candidate
-I took the IB Psychology SL test last year and scored a 4 and the IB Language B SL (which was spanish) and got a 5

Extracurriculars:
-I played Field Hockey all four years, captain freshmen year and senior year for the varsity team. I was also a 3 year varsity starter if that makes any difference.
-Member of National Honor Society and National Spanish Honor Society
-I have tutored my little cousins all throughout high school
-I volunteer at a local science museum (11th and 12th grade)
-Member of Minithon (11th and 12th)
-Member of Eco Club and Envirothon (9th, 11th, 12th)

  • I am a first gen student
  • I'm a female and Vietnamese
  • I come from a lower-middle class family with a family income of about 80k -I'm a PA resident and come from an urban public school

Thank you in advance for all your help!!!

I’d say you have a little less than a 50% chance at Wesleyan, Swarthmore, & Haverford. But I’d bet you’ll get in all the others. You sound like a great person. Don’t let anyone tell you a 1290 SAT is low.

Awe thank you! I knew those three schools were a reach but I really hope i get into Haverford! Although i feel like my SAT scores compared to other applicants are not as superb, so i might get declined. I did an overnight there during the fall and had an interview (which wasnt so great because I was really nervous) but do you think that’ll increase my chances at Haverford?

It might help. The big question is what schools will value your superb GPA & first generation status the most.
