Chance Me Please ^^

I’m not sure where I stand in the applicant pool for schools. I’m planning to apply to a bunch of schools, but the primary ones representative of the tier schools I’m applying to (starting from the top) is Harvard, Duke, Brown, Cornell, and UC Berkeley. Also not sure to go ED Duke or SCEA Harvard, so please leave a reply on which one you think I should take and my chances.

That’s the major stuff, I have a couple other awards, activities, etc. but not too important. Thanks!

Also I should add that my declared major is Political Science and I make it clear I want to be a lawyer.

Would you be excited to attend Duke if admitted early? I think you’d have a good shot.

Unless your essays are extremely killer, I have a feeling you’re likely to be deferred at Harvard. I think the largest weakness to your application is the lack of SAT II and AP scores, but your ECs look interesting and especially if you can get a great essay out of them.

go for which one you like most. don’t base off of where you would think you get in, since you should choose the college you most want to go for. I think u would have a great shot at top colleges in the normal decision round, so I think go for your top choice.

The SAT/ACT and especially the rank scores get you in the pool for consideration, but there’s not a lot else that will stand out for consideration at the top tier so your chance is about 10%. If there is some way in which the extracurriculars you’re doing are changing the lives of others in some objectively measurable way, that should be highlighted. Starting a Politics club is not worth mentioning. Interning for a party - what did that change? The part with the greatest potential here is the scientific research if it generated something impactful but you say that is not your focus area so that undermines that.
