Sorry for writing too much, so what are my chances?

I think you have great chances-i'm involved in JSA as well

SAT's are pretty decent, GPA is a little on the weak side but it looks like you challenged yourself with your courses, which is good. You are from out of state which is somewhat advantageous. Your extracurriculars in JSA and mock-trial seem pretty consistent, it should stand out as a "passion" depending how you did your applications.

If your recommendations and (especially) your essays were good, I'd say you have a very good chance. Your chances are decent even with mediocre essays.

In other words, you "qualify" for Rice, but they have more "qualified" applicants than they have room in the student body. So the question is "will you stand out among the other applicants?" and I think you have a pretty good chance of doing so, especially if your essays were good.

Good luck!

Thank you for the feedback, my GPA is unweighted, but you are right, I should have brought it up a couple points.

Anyone else have feedback?
