Essay
I will write about a Table. How the table is important to me: In Africa my family and I were in a war and so we hide underneath the table from the bombs. Now, since I am in the USA for many years, don’t know exact number... but anyways, now my parents uses it to talk about bills and how will survive for next day.

*So the essay will be a contrast of the use of a table in two different countries and two different situations. *

SUPPLEMENT
My experience at the Burundian museum and how that made me think about a major in anthropology since Burundi is in the heart of Africa and also where civilization started (Africa).

I have no idea of your chances, though I think they are reasonable (I doubt Cornell, though), given your background (though, with your GPA, it is going to require a very strong essay and supplement.) Your chances will be better, obviously (and with more opportunities for financial aid), if you are a U.S. citizen. I was attracted to your post by your Burundian background, as I have been working to aid people in trauma healing in Burundi (African Great Lakes Initiative: Helping to create a more peaceful future in Africa)

Have you explored schools with stronger reputations in international relations, such as American U. (I'm biased, I have a d. there, working on a double major in international business/international service), or George Washington? (Both of those might be difficult with your GPA, but you might be viewed as a very special candidate.) Or alternatively, smaller schools with very good reputations in anthropology and international studies, such as Beloit?

How are your language skills? French? Kirundi? Kiswahili? If good, will you have the opportunity to highlight them in your application?

wrong forum. try the What are my chances forum.:)

I speak Kirundi, wow mini we need people like you in my country just be careful because of the diseases and the on and off again war.

Actually, I have been doing fundraising, and other activities, rather than resident in Burundi. Skylark Sings ~ Good Works

Did you do a language in high school in addition to Kirundi?
