Chance Me Please?

Here are some of my credentials to help you determine my chances:

I am currently a sophomore in high school (I know it's a bit early to be thinking about getting accepted into colleges but I'm dying to find out my chances) with a 3.94 unweighted GPA.
I was born in NC and lived there for 12 years before moving to Switzerland where I currently am now.
In Junior and Senior year, I will be in the International Baccalaureate program.
I want to major in Economics.
My dad went to Duke, so I'm a legacy. I've heard this makes some difference.

My extracurriculars up to this point are:

Boy Scouts (4 years and counting); currently hold the Senior Patrol Leader position which is the highest leadership position in scouts.

On the school Volleyball (sophomore year) and Basketball (freshman and soph years) teams. Will continue these throughout high school.

Do a fair amount of community and service

Student Body Representative (freshman year) and will be running for Student Body Treasurer in my junior year and senior year.

Other Info:

Have started my own non-profit T-shirt business that sends all profits to an eye hospital in India that treats impoverished citizens for free.

My passion for economics led to the addition of a 9th and 10th grade econ class which was only offered in 11th and 12th grade previously. It is now extremely popular; nearly 40 percent of the sophomore year chose the course as their elective.

If any other info is needed, let me know. Thanks!

^ oh, and I took a practice SAT test online and scored a 580 CR, 700 Math and 730 Writing. I am going to take the real SAT’s as a junior next fall.

You should be fine. Just keep up the good work and you should be at Duke before you know it. However, you should definitely raise that 580 CR.

You’re worrying about college way too early. Concentrate on academics and ECs, and come back after your junior year and we’ll chance you. Right now, we have no information to judge your chances by.

yeah i didnt even know what college confidential was when i was in 10th grade…chill out for like 2 more years
