Hey all...UConn is my dream school and I'm hoping to get results back anyday...I applied on 11-7-09, so just over a month ago. Here are my stats:

GPA: Weighted 3.92 (Mainly A grades throughout my 4 years. Only recieved B's in Honors or AP classes all four years.)

SAT: 1200/1600, 1860/2400

ACT: 26
My EC's include: Choir, Church Group/Parishoner, Softball, Track and Cheerleading, Drama Club and the school's Drama Productions, Project Adventure, Outdoors Club, Tutoring.

Volunteering Hours: 2 separate Vacation Bible School's (countless hours), Santa Train, Environmental Center (many hours).

Awards: NHS, Honor Roll all 4 years.

Employment: Each year I've held 2 part time jobs (5 days a week, 3-5 hours a day). A total of 7 jobs.

Summer Experiences: Lindsey Meyer Leadership Camp (Grade 9)

In addition, my school was recently awarded as a Blue Ribbon School.

University of Connecticut is my number one and I really hope to get in! Please give any and all honest opinions! Thank you =)

sorry and I’m out of state, caucasian female!

being out of state is bad but you seem fine , hard courses with a 3.9 gpa, would be nicer if sats were higher but your good.

Thanks ThePhilosopher! I’m so excited! Based on the above, what do you think my chances are to recieve a merit scholarship?

Better than average. Good luck!

thank you so much! you’ve relieved a little bit of my stress!!

leaasays, I think you have a very good chance of admission but not for merit scholarship. Your SAT’s are too low for merit aid. Based on last year , you should be in the 1300/1600 range for merit. I was offered merit money with a 1320 but my friend who had a 1270 got nothing. Both of our GPA’s were similiar to yours with all honors and AP’s. Good luck.

^ I would agree that the SAT is a little low, but your GPA will definitely be considered in addition to the difficulty of the classes.

I think your chances are incredibly good at getting in.

I just got in with a 3.2 unweighted/3.5 weighted, 25 ACT, didnt send in SATs, plenty of ECs, and I’m out of state. And, I didn’t nearly have as many “credentials” as you, haha. Your profile is very, veryyyy good!

So if I can get in, you definitely should get in! =D

ah no way! congrats…that makes me feel better haha i’m so anxious! when did you apply?
