I checked I was interested in the Corp of Cadets (Not sure If I will join)
Visited campus and taken tours

A&M is all I really care about, UT I applied for with college of communications so I dont know if ill get in. I have plenty of interest and visited A&M, I checked the Corp of Cadets. More towards 50% at a competitive school

The thing about being at a competitive school, even if you are in the middle of the pack at 50% of class - you should still have high SAT scores.
A&M will love your EC’s - and your community service hours.
Not sure it will carry you to an acceptance.

You will be accepted at Baylor for sure, maybe TCU. A&M is very iffy to doubtful - probably no at ut.

You didn’t say what major you were looking at for A&M, that may make a difference.

Business then General Studies, but they accept you before they look at your major anyway. Hopefully because I am interested in the core ill get in, because I hear if you are it’s much easier. I don;t know about Baylor, we stopped by there and it seemed very bland, nothing much to do. I’m afraid TCU is gonna be full of spoiled rich kids but I not making any decisions before I visit.

Please know that it is “corp”…
they accept automatic admissions before they look at major, not so sure that is the case with review admits.
TCU will have plenty of rich kids, it is a great school that has gained a lot of notice with its football program.
You may have a good change of admission by agreeing to the Corps of Cadets, best of luck to you! I may have been a little harsh on my opinion - please know it is only an opinion and I am not in admissions at A&M. I do hope you are an Aggie soon!

texasboy1613, I’m a former student - BS dual major in Computing Science & Industrial Engineering, married to a former student, corp of cadet & with BS & MS in Aeronotical Engineering,USNaval Commander retired. We have a daughter at A&M now in college of Architecture.
I learned a lot going through admissions procedure when speaking to the admissions people at the Prospective Student Center. Gained a lot of insight on what they want to see on applications.
