<p>I am applying to Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, MIT, Caltech, Upenn (Wharton), Columbia, and most likely Drexel - i like the campus environment. I think I can get in to Drexel, but do i have the faintest chance at other schools. I know it is a reach for everyone, but it would be nice to hear what other people think of my stats. So far I am doing early to MIT and Caltech.</p>

Half Native american/Half black
GPA: 3.99 UW, 5.29 W
Rank: 2/525
ACT: composite: 36, English: 36, Math: 36, Reading: 35, Science: 36, Essay: 12
SAT II's: Math IIC: 800, Physics: 800, US History: 800, Biology - M: 780.
APs: Calc BC: 5, Physics C Mechanics & E/M: 5 on both, Computer Science AB: 5, US history: 5, World History: 4, Biology AP: 5, Chemistry AP: 4, French AP: 5</p>

<p>Clubs:
Engineering Club (9,10,11,12) - president
National Honor Society (10,11,12) - co-president
Robotics Club (11,12) - founder
Math Team (10,11, 12) - founder
French Club (9,10,11,12) - vice president 10-11th grade, president this year
Model United Nations (11,12) - co-founder</p>

<p>Sports:
Varsity Football (10,11,12) -captain since 11th grade
Varsity Baseball (9,10,11,12) - co-captain
Varsity Track (11,12) - not captain, but placed 6th in the state meet</p>

certificate of community service from the mayor (+500 hours)
IBM's best student intern of the year</p>

<p>Instrument:
Piano - 9 years -composed songs for school musicals....not the best quality, but my teacher liked them
Saxophone - 7 years -side hobby?</p>

<p>Recommendation Letters:
Principal - good i guess, he trusted me enough to ask me to help him choose the new PTA board members
Math Teacher - my advisor for the math team i created, known me for over 3 years, should be good
History Teacher - known me for a year, but he likes me. So his rec can't be bad
counselor - pretty good, helped me started this science research program at my high school....our school is entering Intel STS for the first time wooohoo!!!</p>

<p>Essay:
very personal....good overall.</p>

<p>You definitely have a very good shot at even the best of those schools, but where are your SAT I scores? Even if the schools you apply don't don't require them, having them is a big help, especially since you seem talented with standardized tests.</p>

<p>Also, forgive my ignorance, but how does your school weight GPA? For me, if I get an A in all AP classes, my GPA would be 5.0, yet you have a 5.29.</p>

<p>My counselor told me it would be a waste of time to take the SATI when i already have a 36. Idk, i thought it would help too, so i might take it in Dec</p>

<p>every school has a different grading scale, my friends' school's highest weighted grade is like a 6.00! my weighted grade is out of 5.30 (i think)</p>

<p>yeah it is. don't take the sat, you're fine. you've got as good a shot as any, feel free to flip a coin, i'm sure at least 3 of those will work out though </p>

<p>You are the archetype of an Ivy student. Student, not applicant. Not only do you have 100% of the academics - test scores, GPA - you have good ECs. Plus you are a vastly underrepresented minority. Be sure to thank your mom and dad! Haha just kidding. (Well thank them but not in that way...)</p>
